How do I start writing about the body 

When it contains the whole universe within it

How do I start writing about the body 

When so many people have hidden gentle delicate parts just for them

That have been hurt by a world of lies and burn hot when you or words or wounds get too close 

How do I start writing about the body 

When I owe mine the whole world 

But so often I greet it with judging tear-filled eyes

How do I start writing about the body 

I guess with all I can 

right now 

soft touches and a breathe 

And a promise to be better tomorrow
